Custodian

The successful candidate for this position will report to the Maintenance Manager. and will be primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all J & O Locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Washing and sanitizing toilets, sinks and restocking disposable products.
• Cleaning fixtures
• Daily Disposing of trash and emptying trash receptacles
• Performing minor repairs.
• Monitoring all required pest control is complete.
• Maintaining cleaning equipment.
• Maintaining inventory of cleaning agents and equipment.
• Ensuring equipment and lights are switched off, and premises are locked after hours.
• Update SDS as required.

Job Requirements:

• Basic mathematical skills.
• Proficient knowledge of cleaning equipment and agents.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with handling basic maintenance repairs.
• Physically agile and dexterous; resilient to cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Outstanding organizational skills.

Work environment:

• Humidity levels are elevated during summer months; plant floor is not climate controlled.
• Exposure to loud noise level
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Proficient knowledge of cleaning equipment and agents.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with handling basic maintenance repairs.
• Physically agile and dexterous; resilient to cleaning agents and chemicals.
