Turner Industries Group is seeking Journeyman Scaffold Builders for maintenance and nested capital work in Bay City, TX.

There is no per diem or relocation assistance for these positions; successful candidates will be local. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Supervisor; Performs a variety of routine duties within established policies.

Schedule 5-10's, subject to change

Background, health/drug screen required

Must be able to pass craft test and safety council courses in English

General Job Description:

Assembles positions and dismantles scaffolding to job specifications.

Functional Requirements:

Inspects surface for holes, objects and levelness; assembles scaffold consisting of guardrails, mid-rails, braces, planks, toe boards, screens and wheels; positions scaffold by rolling it into place; secures scaffold to permanent structure by tying.

Qualification Standards:

* (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)

* Written pre-employment qualification test

* Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation

* Hazard Communication orientation/test

* Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination

* OSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87)

* Job site orientation

* Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)

* Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)

* Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place
