What Youāll Do
As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will:
⢠Provides intensive intervention during acute behavioral or mental health crisis.
⢠Maintains 24/7 on-call availability for crisis response.
⢠Provides in-home support and de-escalation services at foster or group home placements.
⢠Coordinates psychiatric referrals when clinically indicated.
⢠Collaborates with the Lead Clinician and Clinicians on crisis response planning.
⢠Documents crisis incidents and interventions consistent with ORR significant incident reporting requirements.
⢠Provides child-facing services on-site or in-home as clinically necessary.
⢠Participates in clinical team consultation on crisis trends and prevention planning.
⢠Completes required training on crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
⢠Exercise independent judgment consistent with program policy, ORR requirements, and applicable law.
⢠Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with children, families, and staff.
⢠Maintain regular, reliable attendance and respond promptly to program needs, including outside standard business hours when required by the role.

Qualifications
Required:
⢠Must be at least 21 years of age.
⢠Masterās degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related behavioral health field; OR Bachelor's degree plus 3 or more years of crisis intervention or behavioral health experience.
⢠Valid driverās license and reliable transportation required for in-home response.
⢠Ability to respond to crisis outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends.
⢠Must exhibit integrity and good moral character appropriate for working with children in a residential or foster care setting.
⢠Must successfully complete ORR-required background investigations.
⢠Must provide proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases transmitted by the respiratory route (Varicella, MMR, Tdap, annual Influenza) and comply with all state licensing health screening requirements including TB screening.
⢠Must complete all ORR-required pre-service training, as required and scheduled by ORR.
⢠Must complete all ORR-required continuing education on an annual basis, as required and scheduled by ORR, covering applicable ORR regulations, policies, and procedures.
⢠Must sign and comply with CHORās Code of Conduct consistent with ORR policy, confidentiality acknowledgement, and mandatory reporter agreement.
⢠Must disclose any prior misconduct, including conduct occurring off duty, on the employment applications and in interviews. Material omissions are grounds for termination.
Preferred:
⢠Crisis intervention certification (e.g., CPI, ASIST, Mental Health First Aid) preferred.
Schedule
⢠Full-Time / Exempt
⢠This position is based across two work locations, Bethlehem and Doylestown. The employee will be required to report to and work from both offices as necessary and assigned.
Physical Requirements
⢠Ability to sit at a meeting table or desk, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach, stoop, twist, climb steps, drive a vehicle and assist individuals as needed.
