About the role

As a Back Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operations of industrial systems and equipment associated with Reworld’s industrial disposal process.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform assigned operational tasks and inspections utilizing various types of designated industrial equipment and hand/power tools
• Complete routine inspections of assigned equipment and document details in accordance with facility procedures
• Troubleshoot assigned equipment and responsibly report issues and repair requests utilizing defined work order processes and procedures
• Utilize weekly activity books and critical items checklist to perform operational and equipment related function checks
• Safely perform lock-out/tag-out processes of equipment in support of assigned maintenance teams
• Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations

Position Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Must have experience operating heavy industrial equipment
• Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including overtime

Physical Demands of the Role:

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
• Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
• Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
• Qualify to wear a full-face respirator 
• Consistently work in various weather conditions

The hourly rate for this position is $24.72 (per hour).

Pay Transparency

This role is covered under a Labor Union / Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The pay rate and benefits will be according to CBA for the role.
