Nurse Practitioner/APRN - Graduate

POSITION SUMMARY:  

The Graduate Nurse Practitioner has completed a Nurse Practitioner program, has been awarded a Masters of Nursing from an accredited university, has applied to and/or passed nation certification board appropriate to field of study and has applied for licensure as an APRN from the Hawaii State Board of Nursing. The Graduate Nurse Practitioner provides age and specialty appropriate medical care at the level of training achieved under direct supervision of a licensed nurse practitioner or physician.   

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  

1. Current Hawaii Registered Nurse License   

2. Hawaii APRN License, applied   

3. Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program   

4. Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner   

5. Good communication and interpersonal skills   

6. Efficient computer skills   

7. Knowledge of clinical management standards, procedures and practices   

8. BCLS every two years
