Job DetailsJob Location: Tony Hawaii Automotive Group - Waipahu, HI 96797Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $25.00 - $30.00 HourlyJob Summary: The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for administering the company’s benefits programs, which include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and other associate perks. This role ensures that all benefit programs support the company’s goals and meet associate needs while remaining cost-effective and competitive. The Benefits Coordinator plays a key role in associate satisfaction and retention by effectively managing and communicating benefits to enhance associate understanding and appreciation of the value provided by the company. Job Responsibilities: Benefits & Associate Support Administer associate benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs. Support annual open enrollment and benefits communications. Assist associates with benefit questions, enrollment changes, and benefit-related concerns. Educate associates on available programs and resources. Leave of Absence Administration Coordinate associate leave programs including FMLA, medical leave, personal leave, and other approved leaves. Partner with associates, leaders, and third-party administrators to support timely and compliant leave processes. Maintain confidential leave documentation and support return-to-work processes. Vendor & Corporate Partnerships Manage relationships with benefits providers, brokers, third-party administrators, and corporate partners. Serve as a liaison between Tony Group and external partners to resolve issues and improve associate resources. Assist with vendor communication, meetings, and program updates. Associate Experience & HR Support Support HR initiatives that enhance associate engagement, connection, and retention. Assist with onboarding follow-up, recognition programs, events, and People & Culture initiatives. Provide exceptional service and support to associates and leaders. Compliance & Administration: Support compliance related to ACA, FMLA, COBRA, ERISA, and other applicable regulations. Maintain accurate HR records and reports. Handle confidential associate information with professionalism and discretion. Core Values and Service Standards: Adhere to company service standards: SMILE, GREET, HELP, THANK, and GOLD. Commit to high professional standards and integrity by adhering to ethical guidelines and company policies when managing benefits. Provide exceptional service and support to associates, ensuring their benefit needs are met with respect and empathy. Foster a positive work environment that reflects the company’s core values and encourages professional growth and teamwork. QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities: Strong understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting associate benefit programs. Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex benefits information clearly and persuasively. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with HRIS systems, especially Paycom, and Microsoft Office Suite. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Education and Experience: Required: High school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of two years of benefits administration experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field, coupled with extensive experience in benefits administration. Professional certifications such as CEBS, CBP, or PHR are advantageous. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasionally need to move around the office for meetings and events. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
