This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. This temporary position is located at 114 West Edenton Street - Wake County with the Department of Justice.   

 
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $19.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).  
 
Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification.  The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities listed within this vacancy announcement will be used only as management preferences and will be used to screen for the most qualified pool of applicants.  

Management Preferences:  

This full-time, administrative position supports the work of NC DOJ's Address Confidentiality Program (ACP) for the benefit of thousands of survivors of violence across North Carolina. 

Job Duties:

  •  The primary duties are the organization and processing of mail for ACP participants, which will involve occasional outreach to participants. 
  • The position will also provide back-up support to ACP staff who receive and process applications for new ACP participants and assist with tracking and administrative support related to ACP recordkeeping. 
  • All functions of this position will take place in-office as part of the team in the Public Protection Section.

Minimum Education and Experience

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
