DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Ensures the safety of all crew members inside the warehouse and on the job site by coaching, training, and maintaining and enforcing PPE rules and regulations. 

  • Responsible for reporting all incidents to Safety as per company policy. 

  • Member of the safety committee team and contributes on all incident investigations.  

  • Ensure that each crew member/driver completes pre-trip inspections of assigned truck and other equipment. 

  • Plans daily material needs for each job and works with Leadership on future needs for out-of-town work. 

  • Ensures all material for the day’s job is prepped and loaded. 

  • Confirms all crew members have required/proper PPE and are ready to depart the facility on time. 

  • Responsible for upkeep of vehicles for the crew (preventative maintenance adherence, cleanliness, etc). 

  • Be on job site daily to direct the crew to ensure they are meeting all job requirements, including performing the work safely, accurately, and efficiently. 

  • Work with upper management, project management and/or safety to develop traffic control plans as necessary. 

  • Implement job specific traffic control plans on site. 

  • Work with  new hires to utilize passport training system and progression program to promote cross training. 

  • Tracks scrap/rework costs on each job, and trains crew members on how to eliminate both in the future. 

  • Responsible for mentoring all Foreman to be able to manage their crew including completing all required paperwork and meeting deadlines.  

  • Attend pre-construction meetings as needed.  

  • Be available to address the needs of the crews anytime they are working which includes both scheduled and unscheduled phone and in person support during day and/or night work. 

  • Responsible for any required  corrective action for crew members. 

  • Be familiar with Company Handbook, Fleet Policy and Safety Policy and oversee adherence of all company policies and procedures. 

  • Be proficient in Foreman Job requirements to be able to support Foreman in their job responsibilities or fill in as needed. 

  • Responsible for ensuring daily JSAs are performed and submitted electronically. 

  • Answer questions regarding daily timesheets. 

  • Record all installed quantities, batch numbers, and material usage correctly and in a timely manner. 

  • Coordinate with on-site 3rd party contacts (Prime Contractors, Engineers, Inspectors, DOTD, etc). 

  • Interview applicants for open crew member roles. 

  • Any other duties assigned as needed. 

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: 

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills 

  • Advanced communications skills, both written and oral 

  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math 

  • Ability to manage time between two or more projects at one time. 

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and procedures 

  • Possess ability to read a tape measure and plan documents 

  • The ability to apply knowledge and skills to achieve intended results 

  • Must hold current First Aid, CPR, AED and Flagger certification 

  • Must hold current Traffic Control  Supervisor certification 

  • Must hold current Forklift certification 

  • Maintain a current CDL  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • 5 years or more of management experience 

  • Valid CDL B or above driver’s license or ability to obtain 

  • Due to insurance purposes, must be 25 years or older to be a company sanctioned driver 

  • Must have a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) 

  • Satisfactory background check 

  • Available for days, nights, and weekends as well as on call as needed 

  • The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations
