Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented entry-level CNC Machine Operator to set up and operate machinery used to cut and shape metal components. This role involves selecting appropriate cutting tools, determining optimal cutting speeds, and accurately positioning workpieces to produce precision parts. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CNC equipment, a strong understanding of technical drawings, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and product specifications to determine proper machining methods and sequence of operations.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools to inspect and verify part dimensions.
  • Understand and apply decimal systems and hold tight tolerances as specified in engineering documents.
  • Set up and proficiently operate CNC lathes, mills, and/or cutoff saws.
  • Edit G- and M-code programs as necessary to optimize machining performance, including adjustments to speeds and feeds.
  • Set up and run multiple machines concurrently when required.
  • Willingness to cross-train on various types of equipment and perform additional tasks as needed to support production.
  • Adhere to 5S workplace organization principles and actively promote safety policies and procedures on the shop floor.
  • Perform and document routine preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification from a trade or technical school preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and proficiency working with numerical data.

Additional Responsibilities – Quality, Safety, and Housekeeping:

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and required hygiene protocols during all machining and production activities.
  • Identify and promptly report any non-conforming materials, process deviations, or product defects to the Supervisor or Quality team.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards and safety requirements.
  • Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to support a safe working environment.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment that may involve exposure to moving machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to consistently follow all safety policies and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials and components weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks, bend, reach, and work in close proximity to machinery as required by the role.
  • Must be able to work overtime and/or flexible shifts
