The Manager assists the Director of Emergency Services with the planning, implementation, and monitoring of patient care services for the Emergency Department at Providence St. Mary Medical Center. The manager provides clinical oversight and support of assigned areas including quality improvement and quality assurance monitoring, provides clinical staff education and staff competency monitoring, supervises staff orientation as developed by the Director, provides follow up with Datix – adverse event monitoring tool, anticipates department staffing needs on a daily basis, edits payroll, regularly performs customer service rounds, and other operational activities as delegatedÂ

Required Qualifications:Â
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, from an accredited educational institute, or in process and completed within 3 years of hire into position.
- Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse LicenseÂ
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart AssociationÂ
- 3 years experience in emergency, trauma, or critical care nursing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration or Business
- Upon hire: ACLS, PALS (must be AHA accredited)
- Upon hire: TNCC Instructor status, or ability to achieveÂ
- A RN with 20 years of experience will not be required to obtain a BSN.
- 2 years experience in a supervisory or charge nurse capacity
