This position performs all functions in Central Processing Department. Cleans, decontaminates, sterilizes according to unit needs and requests. Must take call on a rotating basis during hours the Central Processing Department is not open. Performs any other related duties as assigned such as: completes, records and reports all biological monitoring, and air removal tests. Periodic inventory inspections to maintain adequate stock and supply levels.

Required Qualifications: 

  • National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 1 year of hire or, 
  • National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree - Business Administration. 
  • Coursework/Training - Successful completion of an education training course for Supply Chain Management or another course of similar subject content. 
  • 4 years - Inventory control, materials management in a computerized environment. 
  • 1 year - Demonstrated leadership, analytical, problem solving, organizational and customer service abilities with at least 1 year as a lead, coordinator or supervisor, with extensive knowledge of supply chain management in a healthcare organization
  • Supervisor or manager of Central Supply, Distribution Services or Warehouse departments in a healthcare organization.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
