Position Summary: The Shop Helper will be responsible for ensuring parts are available, moving materials between workstations, and general assistance to welders. Must work independently and as a team as required to achieve production, quality, and quantity goals. Essential Responsibilities: At all times safety is a top priority while performing any part of your job. Execute instructions given by department Supervisor and/or Lead. Observes operation of machines to develop understanding. Assist supervisor/lead by loading jobs to the specified location. Establish a cordial and professional relationship with fellow employees. Assist other employees with day-to-day tasks as needed. Understand and follow the proper workflow of assigned jobs. Transport completed work to the next department. Obtain and maintain forklift certification. Obtain and maintain overhead crane certification. Complete monthly tool calibration as required. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to operate a forklift. Why work at Key?
