Position Summary:

The QA/QC Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all products, processes, and equipment meet NRG’s quality control standards and customer-specific configuration requirements. This role includes oversight of receiving, in-process, and final inspections of industrial equipment and components, and supports continuous improvement in quality assurance practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform and document receiving, in-process, and final inspections of industrial equipment and components to ensure compliance with NRG quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Verify equipment configuration against customer requirements and engineering documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, labeled, and organized work area in accordance with safety standards.
  • Attend work consistently and punctually, avoiding excessive absenteeism.
  • Represent NRG professionally in all interactions.
  • Manage orders to ensure on-time deliveries and compliance with quality expectations.
  • Support the development and enforcement of vendor quality requirements, including packaging, labeling, stamping, testing, documentation, and shipping standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conforming materials or equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and configuration control.
  • Maintain and update inspection records, quality documentation, and training logs.
  • Assist in internal audits and support external audits as required.
  • Ensure adherence to NRG’s Quality Management System (QMS) and contribute to its continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager based on business needs.

Education and other Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1–2 years in quality assurance, inspection, purchasing, or related roles in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles, inspection techniques, and documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment, particularly in the oil and gas industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
  • Proficiency in compiling, checking, and recording inspection data.
  • Effective communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
  • Experience with inventory management or ERP systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.

 

Work Environmental and Physical Requirements:

  • Exposure to certain contaminants, at times.
  • Exposure to loud noise levels, at times.
  • Duties performed in office, and production shop, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment when in designated areas.
  • Stand, bend, sit, stoop, crawl, squat, kneel, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., and walk for 8-10 hours per day.
  • Regularly required to hear and talk.
  • Must have the ability to see close up.
  • Be able to withstand exposure to Production Environment.
  • Be able to tolerate high noise levels with the protection of earplugs.
