Community Health Network of Connecticut, Inc. (CHNCT) is currently seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join our team. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of the Sr. VP of Population Health/ Chief Medical Officer, performs a variety of administrative functions to support the position and its various departments, UM, QM, and Pop Health, including document preparation, telephone support, activity logging, purchasing, scheduling of internal/external meetings, preparation of minutes, data entry and other duties as assigned. 

Tasks Performed:

  • Assists in orienting new staff to unit's operations and procedures. 
  • Maintain department's files and filing systems. 
  • Coordinates and prepares agenda and meeting packets for select meetings, takes minutes for assigned meetings such as Quality Committee of the CHNCT, Inc. Board of Directors, Clinical Quality Subcommittee, Medical Policy, Sickle Cell Consultants panel, and the Provider Advisory Work Group. 
  • Works with onboarding new external provider participants to these committees, including finance processing for stipend payments.
  • Prepares Budget variance reports. 
  • Logs returned mail for pharmacy mailings, works with travel agent to arrange travel for CMO. 
  • Creates and maintains the medical reviewer schedule.
  • Maintains volume reports for Nurse Advice Line (for CM VP). 
  • Fills in data for monthly reports for CM and UM. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Sr. VP of Population Health/ Chief Medical Officer.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides varied support services to assigned unit(s); creates properly formatted text documents, presentation materials, etc. on request. 
  • Facilitates preparation for meetings and other department events, including agenda distribution/minutes, procuring needed supplies, services and equipment. 
  • Maintains unit records and files in a manner that facilitates auditing, retrieval and archiving.

Desired Education: One to two years post-secondary schooling

Desired Degree: High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred

Desired Major: Advanced secretarial or business administration

Desired Job Experience: Three to five years related experience

Other Qualifications: Proficient in Windows environment, good telephone skills, ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently, strong organizational skills, team player, flexible, and attention to detail.
