Summary:
The Breakfast Attendant oversees the setup and takedown of the breakfast buffet to ensure a smooth and positive breakfast experience for hotel guests. In addition, this Breakfast Attendant maintains the dining space, ensures food is available, accepts payment, and provides any other guest services. They help with seating, delivering food and drinks to guests, managing the buffet, and cleaning tables between guests.Â

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain the breakfast area during meal serviceÂ
- Welcome and provide personalized service to all guestsÂ
- Assist guests by helping them to their seats?Â
- Tend to hotel guest needs and requestsÂ
- Have knowledge of restaurant’s menu items and beverage choicesÂ
- Know about the entire property, services, hours of operation, locations, nearby places of interest, etc.Â
- Prepare foods in line with brand standardsÂ
- Ensure breakfast items are continually replenished and presented in an appealing mannerÂ
- Wipe up spills and maintain cleanliness of all appliances and counter space in the buffet area and workspace throughout the breakfast shift, practicing clean-as-you-go proceduresÂ
- Clear and clean tables as they are vacatedÂ
- Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all flatware, glass, and silverware prior to useÂ
- Maintain the inventory of food, beverages, and supplies for each dayÂ
- Ensure that guests are always provided with the highest quality product and serviceÂ
- Solve guest issues with professionalism and always maintain a hospitable attitudeÂ
- Additional tasks may be assigned at any given time. The scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Has a High School diploma or GEDÂ
- Previous hotel or restaurant service experience preferredÂ
- Has knowledge of Food and Beverage ServiceÂ
- Service-minded and exhibits friendly and professional behaviorÂ
- Ability to multi-task while remaining associate and guest service focusedÂ
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.Â
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of timeÂ
