Job DetailsJob Location: Wallingford, CT 06492Hospice Patient Volunteer   Constellation Health Services’ Hospice program is looking for volunteers to visit patients who have terminal illnesses. Make a difference in your community, be part of the hospice team, and have a flexible volunteer schedule. A few hours a week can make a big difference to someone nearing the end of life! Volunteers may engage in conversation, read to a patient, look at pictures together, share music or videos on their phones, provide a compassionate presence, or other activities. Requirements: At least 18 years old. Able to commit for one year to our program. Able to commit to at least 4 hours per week.  Ability to listen deeply, interest in and compassion for others, good boundaries and self-care, and meet people where they’re at in energy and tone.  Online training takes approximately 20 hours and is personally enriching, focusing on personal death awareness and hospice philosophy.
