Nel Hydrogen is looking for a Materials Handler to join our Manufacturing Materials team. In this role, you will help ensure materials and components move efficiently through our operations, supporting production and delivery activities. Your New Role

As a Materials Handler, you will be part of a close-knit warehouse team supporting daily operations across receiving, inventory management, material handling, and shipping activities. You'll work closely with colleagues in logistics, warehouse operations, and planning to ensure materials are available where and when they are needed.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are exactly the same. You'll help maintain inventory accuracy, support production activities, and contribute to an efficient, safe, and well-organized workplace.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Record inventory transactions accurately in our ERP system

  • Pick, pack, and prepare materials for production and customer shipments

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and storage locations

  • Support inventory counts and stock verification activities

  • Work closely with planners and other stakeholders to help resolve material discrepancies or shortages

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely

  • Help optimize storage areas and support warehouse organization

  • Participate in continuous improvement and workplace organization initiatives

  • Follow all safety, quality, and PPE requirements

Physical Requirements:

  • Light physical effort with frequent lifting or moving of materials up to 50LBS may be required

  • Use of hand tools and specialty equipment

  • Standing and bending required during a typical eight-hour workday

  • Ability to use hand lift trucks to move materials in, around and out of the area

You bring with you:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • Experience from warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, inventory control, or a similar operational environment

  • Confidence using computers and digital tools in your daily work; experience with ERP/MRP systems is an advantage

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications

  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal

  • Forklift or other material handling equipment experience is an advantage
