Support the supply chain behind large‑scale hydrogen technology

We are now looking for a Supply Chain Intern to support our Supply Chain and Manufacturing team in Wallingford, CT. This is a paid summer internship.

About the Role

As a Supply Chain Intern, you will assist with a broad range of internal and external supply chain activities, including supplier approval and monitoring, inventory control, and quality‑related processes.

You will work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality teams, contributing to documentation, audits, data reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers exposure to real operational processes within an industrial manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on accuracy, structure, and quality.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Update legacy supplier documentation and support cleanup of the Approved Supplier List

  • Perform internal supply chain audits using MMS Pyramid tools and identify areas for improvement

  • Create and update documentation related to supplier assessment, approval, and monitoring

  • Review of MRB with Quality Engineers and follow up on Supplier Corrective actions

  • Assist in writing work instructions for alternate parts usage and related documentation

  • Process requests related to part obsolescence

  • Review and support best practices for first‑in, first‑out (FIFO) using LEAN principles

  • Support inventory control activities through cycle count programs

  • Review incoming inspection results and audit findings

  • Work with Quality to identify product defects and support documentation and feedback to suppliers

  • Perform all tasks in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures

Qualifications and Desired Competencies

  • Currently working toward a degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, LEAN principles, or a related field

  • Proficiency with computers and standard software systems

  • Strong PowerPoint and report‑writing skills

  • Good verbal, reading, and written English communication skills

  • Ability to work accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner

  • High attention to detail

  • Self‑motivated and comfortable working both independently and in a team
