Supervisor,  Food Services II (EVENING SHIFT) 

Masonicare Health Center - Wallingford, CT

Evening Shift / 8hrs/wk - Every Other Weekend  (12:00PM to 8:30PM) 


Supervises and coordinates the activities of the distribution and service food on all units and ensures they are maintained properly. Performs a variety of other related tasks following standard policies and procedures.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1.         Directs dishwashing/cleaning operations and performs and/or delegates tasks such as tray stripping: loading, unloading, and operating dishwasher; pot and pan washing; cleaning of kitchen  equipment, carts and other equipment used in food production and service as well as in cleaning operations.

 2.         Directs and monitors workflow to and from dishwasher to maintain an even flow of used dishes, trays, silverware, etc., through the various cleaning operations and checks for bottlenecks and  overloads.

 3.         Directs and monitors workflow of all unit dining areas and operations and/or delegates tasks such as tray assembly, serving, loading and distributions.

 4.         Schedules all dietary aides and cafeteria servers.

 5.         Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. 

 6.         Maintains department records, reports and files as required.

 7.         Assigns personnel to various workstations according to schedules.  Orients, trains and evaluates work performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions.

 8.         Attends meetings as required.  Participates in in-service programs.

 

 Qualifications:

 

Education:                  High School or GED

Experience:                 3-5 years experience as a Food Service Worker

Licensure:                   N/A

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to work in a team.  Interpersonal, written and organizational skills.  Personal computer skills
