Job DetailsJob Location: Main Office II - Walnut Creek, CA 94598Salary Range: $28.00 - $37.00 HourlyJob Shift: DayBi-Bett Corporation, a California non-profit engaged for the past 50 years in the treatment and recovery of adults with primary substance use and co-occurring disorders alcohol or other drug problems. Originally based in Contra Costa County, Bi-Bett now operates residential and outpatient programs in Contra Costa, Alameda and Solano Counties, as well as Recovery Residences. The Bi-Bett Mission: To provide effective and affordable human services to individuals, families and communities with alcohol and drug related problems in the belief that everyone has value and can grow through change if given one’s rightful opportunity to choose. Our goal is to create culturally appropriate alcohol and drug-free environments in which one may experience personal and social growth.  The Accountant position consists of being responsible for providing office management services and support. Additionally, accounts payable tasks fall under this position to ensure effective and efficient operations. The position is a full-time position reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. Accountant Responsibilities Manage Accounts Receivables including but not limited to collecting monthly program reports, preparing respective invoices in accordance with contract stipulations and posting to the accounting software Process, apply and file all incoming deposits Reconcile assigned Accounts Receivables and other accounts to the General Ledger on a monthly basis Reconcile and prepare DUI County and state quarterly reports along with corresponding fee disbursements Perform current and prior Fiscal Year quarterly reconciliations of Contra Costa County Maintain detailed documentation of accounting transactions Assist the Accounting Manager with the Financial Statement Annual and County Audits Execute partial aspects of the financial close such as creating and posting operating costs journal entries, accruals, allocations, depreciation and amortization Perform month end financial review of each program’s financial statements Other duties as assigned by management QualificationsQualifications Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Effective time management skills.
