Job Description:

The staff registered nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver who assumes responsibility andaccountability for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame utilizing the John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care, ANA's Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, and Title 16. The RN coordinates and provides care through the therapeutic use of self, nursing process, and the environment and technology, in partnership and
collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
Education:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing Required
Experience:
6 Months Nursing - Medical Acute Care Required
Certifications/Licensures:
RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing Required
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Required
ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association Required
PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support - American Heart Association Required
NRP Neonatal Resuscitation Program - American Heart Association Preferred
Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse - American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing Certification, Preferred
CPAN Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse - American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing Certification, Inc Preferred
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Effectively motivates teams.
Excellent IV Skills.
Must be available for some weekends, call, and varied start times due to patient volume.
Work Shift:
08.0 - 10:00 - 18:30 No Waive (United States of America)Pay Range:
$82.71 - $112.70HourlyNote: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
