Job Description:
The Specialty Pharmacy Clinical Supervisor provides overall clinical and operational leadership for specialty pharmacy services. This role provides oversight of specialty pharmacy medication management while optimizing clinical and financial performance metrics. The Supervisor collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care and supports strategic initiatives aligned with departmental and organizational goals.Education:
Doctoral Degree School of Pharmacy - Accredited by ACPE – Required
Completion of ASHP Accredited General Practice Residency (PGY1) – Preferred
Experience:
Minimum 2 years' experience in ambulatory clinical pharmacy or specialty pharmacy - Required
ASHP Accredited Residency Program – Preferred
Supervisory or management experience in specialty pharmacy operations – Preferred
One year experience working in a 340B setting- Preferred
Certifications/Licensures:
RPH Registered Pharmacist - California Board of Pharmacy - Required
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
Board Certification [e.g., Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS), Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP), BCOP, CSP] or equivalent - Preferred
Skills:
Strong clinical judgment and therapeutic knowledge
Effective leadership and team development capabilities
Ability to analyze data and deliver results on key performance indicators.
Expertise in 340B program operations, regulations and compliance, including working with a TPA.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
