Job DetailsJob Location: Anchor Fabrication MS Walnut - Walnut, MS 38683Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $23.00 - $26.00 HourlyKey Responsibilities Safety: Help the Manager/ Supervisor to drive a safety-oriented work environment Enter Near Misses to capture safety issues and concerns Help ensure employees comply with Anchor Fabrication Safety Policies (PPE, Safe Behavior, Proper use of equipment) Help drive a culture for clean, well-organized and efficient work environment ensuring 6s and lean principles are sustained throughout department Maintain a quality and safety driven environment that is compliant with the company’s vision and goals Quality: Help Manager drive quality by implementing process improvement initiatives and seeking out root cause and corrective actions Help maintain a quality driven environment that is compliant with all company certifications and specifications Monitor the production process and ensure all products meet quality standards Production Compliance and Attainment: Work with Area Manager and Operation’s to meet attainment goals and comply with a top-down approach Work to improve and maintain a high machine utilization by programming parts across multiple machines Inventory: Assist with inventory management 6S (5S + Safety): Ensure operators clean machines, tooling, and work area at end of each shift Other 6S initiatives as assigned Leadership: Reflect the Guiding Principles in all aspects of the job Without direct authority, assist, support, and motivate operators to accomplish production goal Foster a Team environment Be someone that someone wants to emulate, be a positive influence for team members Set a good example to motivate your team to perform their best Have integrity, be honest and humble Commit to the goal Keep a level of enthusiasm towards the goals, the mission, and the vision of the organization Respect the thoughts and ideas of your peers Be present in meetings and actively participate Follow through   Anchor Fabrication offers an extensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity and short and long term disability.  Anchor Fabrication also offers a matching 401(k) plan with Empower. Qualifications Minimum Required Qualifications: At least 1 year experience as a CNC set up Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate employees High school diploma or equivalent with demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations Skills: Basic Knowledge of computer operation including keyboard and mouse operation, general knowledge of Microsoft is a plus Ability to read and interpret blueprints Ability to use handheld measuring tools to verify accurate dimension and fit of parts Basic knowledge of, and the ability to apply, standards of measurement including standard, metric, and decimal Basic knowledge of, and the ability to interpret metal types, common thicknesses, and tensile properties Operate equipment in area as needed after proper training (machines, forklift, bander, pallet jack, powered and handheld tools, etc.) Physical Demands: Almost continual walking, reaching, grasping, carrying, and balancing Moderate amount of time standing and stooping Rarely climbs, crawls, or sits Working Conditions: Almost continual work in a shop environment, with exposure to hot or cold weather and nonweather related high temperatures, fluorescent lighting and proximity to moving mechanical parts Moderate exposure to humidity Occasional exposure to wet weather, computer use, toxic or caustic chemicals Rarely exposed to office environment or nonweather related moisture  or humidity   Anchor Fabrication is committed to providing access, equal opportunity and reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities in employment, its services, programs, and activities.  To request reasonable accommodation, contact Julie Gomez at email jgomez@anchorfabms.com
