About BHB:

BHB began with a simple mission: to build a better experience for our clients. All too often, clients have a less than optimal experience working with their builders. We set out to change that—one relationship at a time.

Overview:

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support our growing team. This role plays a key part in coordinating and executing construction projects, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within budget, while fostering strong relationships with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Managers in the daily management of active projects.
  • Assist with estimating, bidding, and subcontractor buyouts as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain submittals and submittal logs, ensuring timely reviews and approvals.
  • Review project specifications and assist with scope development for subcontracts (Exhibit B) and enumerations (Exhibit A).
  • Help secure necessary permits from local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Maintain project documentation including meeting minutes, schedules, change orders, punch lists, and close-out materials.
  • Work with the PM and Superintendent to update and distribute project schedules.
  • Assist with BIM/MEP coordination and procurement schedules; monitor long-lead items and supplier timelines.
  • Attend job site and coordination meetings; represent the PM when necessary.
  • Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to manage compliance, documentation, and performance expectations.
  • Provide administrative support including report preparation, document control, and data entry in Procore.
  • Develop positive relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors through timely communication and professionalism.
  • Support the PM in change management and cost control by obtaining pricing and assisting with owner and subcontractor change orders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of relevant construction experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with MS Project and Procore preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and perform quantity take-offs.
  • OSHA 10 certification required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites within a 50-mile radius of Boston.
  • Must wear company-provided uniform and adhere to site safety protocols.
