Emede Electric is seeking an Electrical CAD Designer to join our engineering team. This position will support the development and preparation of electrical drawings and technical documentation for industrial electrical equipment and projects.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD, a strong understanding of electrical drawings and schematics, and a technical background in electrical, electronics, industrial drafting, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, modify, and maintain electrical drawings using EPLAN Electric P8.
  • Prepare and update 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Develop and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and related technical drawings.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and single-line diagrams.
  • Assist the engineering team in preparing drawings and documentation for manufacturing.
  • Incorporate engineering revisions and project changes into existing drawings.
  • Maintain organized and accurate drawing files and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with engineering, project management, and production teams to ensure drawings reflect project requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of technical documentation, equipment lists, and project information.
  • Use Excel and Microsoft Office tools for project documentation, tracking, and reporting.
  • Verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before release to production.

Qualifications

  • Technical education or training in Industrial Drafting, Electrical Technology, Electronics, Electromechanical Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience using EPLAN Electric P8 is required.
  • Experience using AutoCAD 2D is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
  • Basic understanding of electrical components and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of an engineering and manufacturing team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an electrical manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience preparing drawings for electrical panels, switchgear, MCCs, control panels, or similar electrical equipment.
  • Familiarity with bills of materials (BOMs), wiring diagrams, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience working directly with engineers and production teams.
