General Summary:
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving new customer acquisition and revenue growth within assigned residential neighborhoods and select small-to-medium business (SMB) accounts while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role focuses primarily on selling residential broadband, voice, and managed Wi-Fi services, while also identifying and pursuing commercial opportunities where appropriate. The Outside Sales Representative will proactively engage prospects in the field, build relationships within the community, and serve as the face of the company in local markets. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to educate customers on the value of fiber-based internet and related services. This role is primarily focused on growth in PalmettoLink areas.

Essential Job Functions:
Residential Sales
- Generate new residential customers through door-to-door outreach, local events, community partnerships, and referral programs
- Conduct in-person consultations to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate internet, voice, video, and home Wi-Fi solutions
- Execute neighborhood canvassing plans, track daily activity, and achieve assigned sales targets
- Educate residents about fiber technology, service benefits, network construction timelines, and installation processes
- Follow up with prospects & nurture leads to drive them to closure
- Support new neighborhood launches, ribbon-cuttings, HOA meetings, and community events as appropriate

Commercial Sales
- Identify and qualify small-to-medium business (SMB) opportunities within assigned territory
- Conduct basic needs assessments for commercial internet, voice, and business services; collaborate with commercial sales leadership and/or Managed Services team for larger or complex accounts
- Provide feedback on commercial demand & competitive insights

General Sales & Customer Engagement
- Deliver excellent customer experience throughout the sales cycle—from first contact through to installation
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all sales activity, customer interactions, as required by the Business Development Manager
- Collaborate with marketing, field operations, and customer service to ensure smooth activation and post-sale support
- Participate in sales meetings & training sessions as required
- Represent the company professionally, ethically, and in alignment with brand values
- Stay informed about product changes, promotions, and industry trends
- Other duties as assigned by management
Education and Experience:
Â
- Degree in Sales or Marketing (preferred)
- Background in selling both consumer and SMB services (preferred)
- One to Three years of telecommunications and technical sales experience
- Experience with residential door-to-door sales, community-based outreach, or territory management
- Valid driver's license
