Employment Type: Full-time, non-exempt (Hourly), Hours are M-F, 8:00am-4:30pm.
On call is scheduled periodically.

Responsibilities
This position supports the facilities team in the execution of daily operations for a portfolio of Class A multi and single tenanted office light industrial commercial investment assets. Provides a Class A+ level of service to tenants, internal and external stakeholders.
Under supervision of the Facilities Engineering Manager and direction/guidance of the Lead Engineer, assists with the general maintenance of assigned properties as well as other assets as required. Performs various duties such as preventative maintenance and building repairs, completes tenant work orders, acts as a vendor escort in base building and tenant space. Assists Lead engineers with various hands-on repair and maintenance work. Maintains workshop organization, tools, and equipment inventory.
It is expected that Facility Engineers have experience and some expertise with at least one building facilities system and be open to learning about other systems as needed. Facility Engineers work in a team environment to help maintain equipment and to ensure overall efficient operations.
Facility Engineers are required to respond to emergencies after hours when they arise. This position will be part of an on-call rotation.
Qualifications
5+ years of general commercial facilities and maintenance experience, working with critical mechanical equipment.
Mechanical proficiency on general building equipment.
Demonstrates Practical knowledge of Building Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Life Safety Systems.
Ability to perform diagnostic troubleshooting on MEP equipment.
Knowledge of basic carpentry and plumbing.
OSHA training on safety and compliance is helpful but not required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to use power tools.
Proven ability to work from blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office and Outlook for email and work order system.
Working toward or interest in obtaining state licensure for electrical, refrigeration, plumbing preferred.
Solid interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Experience utilizing Building Management systems (ALC, Delta, PRISM etc.).
Ability to address emergency issues promptly and coordinate swift responses.
Excellent problem-solving skills to address complex maintenance issues.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Physical RequirementsÂ
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Â
Ability to work at heights (ladders/scaffolding) and safely operate tools/equipment commonly used in facilities maintenance.Â
Education & License
High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
Safety training OSHA 10 or 30 is preferred.
Massachusetts licensure in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing is strongly preferred.
The hiring range for this position is $30.88 to $38.61 per hour. Final offers are based on factors such as geographic location, education, skills, and experience.
