  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop test plans and validation strategies for highly integrated robotic perception systems

  • Design and build test stands from hardware and software components under test

  • Compile requirements, analysis, and test evidence sufficient to develop statistical evidence for the safety of an autonomous system

  • Coordinate cross-functional technical efforts to develop robotic systems.

  • Work closely with a small team to design and prototype new payloads, platforms, and product features which deliver safety features for our robots.

We are looking for:

  • 8+ years of experience working in applications of robotics, autonomous vehicles, advanced driver-assistance systems, industrial automation, or related industries

  • A zeal for using data to understand problems and comfort in working with hardware and software to prototype potential solutions

  • Experience working in python and/or C++ to develop data analysis tools and robotics prototypes

  • Familiarity with relevant safety standards and how they impact the development of robotic systems, including IEC 61508, ANSI/RIA R15.08

  • Experience aggregating and compiling data to support safety claims, especially for autonomous systems

  • Experience developing test procedures and validation targets based on real-world use cases

  • Experience communicating effectively about safety engineering with engineering teams and executives

  • Strong communication skills, including ability to author technical documentation and deliver presentations on technical topics

  • History of leading cross-functional technical efforts through planning, technical requirement development, and interdisciplinary collaboration

  • History of working in small, interdisciplinary teams.
