This position involves working outdoors on construction sites, digging trenches, laying pipe, and ensuring proper alignment and connection to meet project specifications. If you are physically fit, safety-conscious, and enjoy hands-on work, this role is a great fit for you.
Pipe Installation & Maintenance:
- Excavate trenches and prepare sites for pipe installation.
- Lay, join, and secure pipe sections for water, sewer, gas, or drainage systems.
- Use hand and power tools, including pipe cutters, wrenches, shovels, and trenchers.
- Align pipes correctly to ensure proper flow and connection.
- Backfill trenches and compact soil after pipe installation to meet safety and engineering standards.
Site Preparation & Cleanup:
- Prepare and maintain job site for safety and efficiency.
- Clean up work areas and equipment at the end of each day.
Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any hazards or incidents to supervisors immediately.
Teamwork & Communication:
- Collaborate with equipment operators, laborers, and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
- Communicate clearly to understand project specifications and changes.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience in pipe laying, trenching, or underground utility work preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, dig, and work in trenches.
- Knowledge of pipe materials, fittings, and installation techniques.
- Commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Valid driver’s license is a plus.
