About Wunder
Wunder is building a Modern Energy Company.
We were founded with one simple vision: to address the greatest crisis of our generation by accelerating the deployment of solar energy. In doing so, we help businesses, municipalities, and schools save money by delivering clean on-site power. We convert simple warehouses into electrified industrial platforms built for the future. We enable the nationâs leading commercial and industrial real estate firms to capture the benefits of solar across their properties. We align ESG goals with revenue targets, and the renewable energy assets weâre deploying today will power Americaâs tomorrow.
Wunder is actively developing hundreds of commercial solar projects across the country. Our team has evaluated more than 30,000 properties for solar across all 50 states to meet our customers where they are. Our customers have a national footprint and so do we. Wunderâs proprietary technology platform enables us to develop solar at scale, across a portfolio that includes everything from self-storage facilities and schools to data centers and industrial logistics facilities. Our average solar systemâabout 430 kilowatts in sizeâcan offset 350,000 pounds of coal burned each year of system operation!
The Role
We have an amazing opportunity for an energetic, analytical, and detail-oriented accountant to join our team and push renewable energy forward. Weâre looking for a driven, detail-oriented, and analytically strong accounting leader to help scale Wunderâs finance function as we accelerate the growth of distributed renewable energy.
As Director of Accounting, youâll oversee core accounting operations and build the systems, processes, and controls required for a rapidly scaling renewable platform. Youâll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of our financial infrastructure.
This role spans both corporate accounting and asset-level accounting across a complex portfolio of commercial scale solar investments structured through multiple SPVs. Youâll own and improve key workflows including the monthly close, financial reporting, accounts payable, and audit support while also helping design the next generation of our finance processes.
This is not a traditional accounting role. Youâll be working at the intersection of finance, data, and infrastructure, managing and reporting on hundreds of millions of dollars of renewable energy assets. If youâre excited about building a new asset class, operating in a high-growth environment, and contributing to a mission-driven company focused on climate impact, weâd love to meet you.
