The purpose of this position is to support the Advanced Acoustics Sector with overseeing the assembly of battery packs.  This role assists with meeting daily production goals and timelines managing a team of 6-10 people. The supervisor will work in accordance to company quality and safety polices.


Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate production workflow at a station and between stations.
  • Meet daily production goals.
  • Manage production team and adjust work assignments as needed.
  • Issue and collect daily production records, metrics and prepare reports to be briefed with management.
  • Monitor production output and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment or workflow issues. Assist in production tasks if needed.
  • Utilize small hand tools and conduct mechanical assembly of handheld parts. Hot melt glue, scissors, pliers and other benchtop hand tools.
  • Assemble components into a jig for further processing.
  • Document and record on logs and work instructions results of work performed.
  • Work against technical criteria from a drawing or work instruction.
  • Inspect work and identify potential defects.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Assist skilled personnel as needed.
  • Complete an assigned volume of work during a shift.


Required Skills:

  • Leadership and team management.
  • Understanding of safety regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Read dimension in decimal from a drawing and identify actual part.
  • Diligence to a task. Possess time management skills and do a repetitive task for a shift.
  • Ability to listen, read, understand, and follow manufacturing work instructions.
  • Flexibility to work in a variety of roles over a period of time.
  • Ability to work first or second shift


Work Experience & Education/Certification Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalency certification.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or production environments.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Dexterity with both hands.


The production technician will support manufacturing for a specific production project with the potential for extension based on customer needs.  The initial period will last from June until January.
