Job Description: 

The Category Business Analyst will be the go-to-category expert for developing insightful and actionable customer analysis and selling story presentations. To be successful in this role, one must demonstrate the ability to cut through data to identify what information is most important to the business, so the conclusions are effectively and persuasively communicated. They Category Business Analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to analyze industry insights, category trends, and customer point-of-sale (POS) data, translating these findings into actionable tactics to drive sales and profitability. Additionally, they will conduct in-depth customer sales analysis, providing actionable recommendations to fuel sales growth in key areas.

Location:

300 Park Ave, Warminster PA. 100% onsite. Monday-Friday. 8am-5pm.

Essential Duties:

  • Generate content from data analytics to support customer line review presentations.
  • Ingest Weekly Vendor Portal Data for auditing; segment tracking.
  • Provide sales team with ad hoc analytical support.
  • Space planning analysis: display, product assortment, sku performance. 
  • Create dashboards to analyze business units – U.S. Retail Sales, eCommerce, Canada.
  • Build Semantic Models in Power BI collaborating with Data Engineer to produce DataMart where necessary.
  • Optimal sell-through analytics by customer based on profitability.
  • Data reporting – analyze retail sales, cross functional support, and translate it into actionable insights to drive sales.
  • Category Performance – category metric reporting (category, segment, brand performance, and indexing).
  • Retailer Insights – retailer objectives, trends, and category contribution.
  • Build strong relationship with retail customer leaders.
  • Use Scintilla to drive sales through store and item-level analysis, identify market innovations, monitor nil picks, and build competitive tracking tools for the sales team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in retail sales or business analytics
  • Advanced Power BI and dashboard development skills
  • Strong data analysis skills including SKU, assortment, and profitability analysis
  • Experience with retailer/vendor data platforms (Scintilla, Nielsen, Circana/IRI, etc.)
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
