Analyze tasks and establish an appropriate sequence of operations Read blueprints and job orders for product specifications, number of parts to be machined, material specifications, machining stock, and due dates Set up and operate various manual and 5-axis CNC lathes and CNC mills Select correct tooling, speeds and feed rates for each operation according to requirements and knowledge of metal properties and abrasives  Verify dimensions of ground work piece for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, comparators, calipers, dial indicators, gauge blocks and load test equipment Check machines for proper maintenance and preparation before starting each job Machine components to blueprint specifications and stock allowances Operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment Must meet speed expectations to ensure productivity SHIFT: Primarily daylight   QualificationsQualifications:  Knowledge and Skills Journeyworker papers OR minimum of four years of precision machining experience required Experience with CNC lathes and mills Experience on Hurco CNC machines is a plus Knowledge and experience in manual milling machines, lathes and surface grinders required Excellent blueprint reading, understanding of GD& T, mechanical and math abilities Ability to use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators and comparators Commitment to quality, speed and accuracy, and maximizing acceptable product percentages Willingness to cross train on different equipment Able to work well independently and cooperatively with teams Able to communicate effectively with all levels Committed to safety, team development, and product and service excellence Able to comprehend written or verbal procedures Candidates must be able to lift up to 40 lbs., and stand during their shift.     Education High school diploma or equivalent required Equal Opportunity Employer /Veterans/Disability
