Work Shift:
Primarily responsible for providing professional emergency treatment in the pre-hospital setting. Primarily treats and transports the sick or injured. Responsible for carrying out the mission, vision and quality commitment of Houston HealthcareQualifications:
A. Education & Training:
High School graduate or GED equivalent. Completion of a vocational training
program as a Paramedic.
B. Experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a paramedic, preferably with critical care and
911 background.
C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Valid Georgia Paramedic License with current state licensure. Valid driver’s
license with a clean driving record. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification.
Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS certification. AHA/ARC PALS certification or
within 9 months of hire. CPT training within 9 months of hire. FAST-ED stroke
scale or obtained within three (3) months of hire. Critical Care Paramedic (CC-P)
or Flight Paramedic (FP-C) within 6 months of hire.
D. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under high-pressure
situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
