Position Summary

The EVSA Chief Engineer is the technical authority for validating Government-furnished EVSA technical data, overseeing integration of camera and mounting hardware onto ground combat vehicles, and ensuring the fielded configuration meets functional, safety, and interface requirements. This role bridges Government-furnished engineering data and the physical, fielded system; confirming fit, resolving configuration gaps, and supporting hands-on integration and pilot validation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate Government-furnished technical data (design, interfaces, qualification data) for applicability to the specific vehicle configuration(s) being fielded.

• Provide engineering oversight of sub-contractors and material suppliers’ mounting/bracket design and fabrication.

• Oversee sourcing and integration of camera hardware, cable assemblies, and other FED95-procured components.

• Lead or support fit-check and integration activities, including any prototype or CONUS pilot installation events.

• Identify and resolve configuration gaps between the Government-furnished baseline and actual fielded vehicles, escalating to Government engineering authorities as needed rather than independently redesigning the system.

• Support residual cybersecurity coordination confirming the fielded configuration's security posture remains valid.

• Support production readiness reviews and quality verification of fielded kits.

• Document engineering findings, as-built configuration, and any design adjustments required for production.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of engineering experience in defense, ground vehicle, or systems integration programs.

• Hands-on experience with mechanical/electrical integration, fit-check, or prototype validation work.

• Ability to read, interpret, and validate technical data packages, interface control documents, and specifications.

• Active DoD SECRET clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

• Willingness to travel internationally, for trips of up to several weeks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Army combat or tactical vehicle platforms.

• Camera, sensor, or electro-optical systems integration experience.

• Experience working with Government-furnished technical data packages and configuration management.

• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 (environmental) and MIL-STD-461 (EMI/EMC) considerations.
