TheĀ Senior Manager,Ā Client Platform Engineering leads the team that manages endpoints across macOS, Windows, Linux, and VDI to keep them secure, standardized, and easy to use. The role focuses on streamlined provisioning and secure, direct-to-app access so employees can be productive from anywhere, on any device.Ā
YouāllĀ own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of our client platform: how devices are built, secured, managed, and updated at scale. Your team builds the tooling, automation, and standards that power ourĀ enduserĀ experience ā fromĀ zerotouchĀ provisioning to secure access to critical apps without clunky VPNs.Ā
This is anĀ engineering heavyĀ role (think platforms and automation, not āhelp deskā), working closely with Security, Networking, Infra, and Support.Ā
WhatĀ YouāllĀ Do

Strategy & OwnershipĀ
Define theĀ longtermĀ client platform strategy across macOS, Windows, Linux, and VDI.Ā
Own endpoint lifecycle: image/config design, provisioning, patching, compliance, and decommissioning.Ā
Drive standardization of base images, configurations, and policies while keeping thingsĀ userfriendlyĀ and delightful.Ā
Support the move toward modern,Ā cloudfirstĀ management andĀ zerotrust,Ā directtoappĀ access, advocating AI-first behavior into team and org-wide fabric.Ā Ā Ā
Team LeadershipĀ
Lead, mentor, and grow a Client Platform Engineering team (engineers / admins / tech leads).Ā
Set goals, priorities, and operating rhythms (backlog, sprints,Ā oncall, incident reviews).Ā
Build a culture of automation-first, reliability, and security with strongĀ partnershipĀ across IT and Security.Ā
Engineering & OperationsĀ
Own andĀ optimizeĀ endpoint management platforms (e.g., Intune/Endpoint Manager,Ā Jamf, or similar).Ā
Implement automated, zeroĀ orĀ lowtouchĀ provisioning for laptops and VDI.Ā
Build andĀ maintainĀ configuration asĀ code for device policies, profiles, and baselines.Ā
Design and run patching and software update strategies to hit aggressive compliance targets.Ā
Partner with Security to deploy and operationalize:Ā
EDR / AV / DLPĀ
Disk encryptionĀ
Device compliance and posture checksĀ
Local admin and privilege controlsĀ
Work with Network / Security to implement secure, direct-to-app access patterns (e.g., ZTNA, device posture,Ā appbasedĀ access instead ofĀ fulltunnelĀ VPN).Ā
Own the deployment and lifecycle of core client apps (productivity suites, collaboration tools, browsers, agents).Ā
Governance, Risk & ComplianceĀ
Maintain hardened, auditable baselines for endpoints and VDI images.Ā
Ensure platforms align with internal security policies and relevant frameworks.Ā
Provide technical input for audits, risk assessments, and incidentĀ responseĀ involving endpoints.Ā
MaintainĀ highqualityĀ documentation (runbooks, standards, diagrams, FAQs,Ā selfserviceĀ guides).Ā
Stakeholder & Vendor ManagementĀ
Act as the primary owner for all things client platform for security, infra, support, and business stakeholders.Ā
Translate business needs into platform capabilities and phased roadmaps.Ā
Communicate changes andĀ impactĀ clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences.Ā
Manage vendors and tooling, including evaluations, renewals, and escalations.Ā
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)Ā
Bachelorās degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.Ā
<TBD>8+ years in endpoint / client engineering,Ā enduserĀ computing, or related infrastructure roles.Ā
<TBD>4+ years leading engineers or acting as a technical lead with ownership of a platform or service.Ā
Handson experience managing macOS, Windows, Linux, and VDI in an enterprise environment.Ā
DeepĀ expertiseĀ with multiple modern endpoint management platforms (e.g., Intune/Endpoint Manager,Ā Jamf, SCCM/ConfigMgr, Workspace ONE, etc.).Ā
Strong background in:Ā
OS imaging / provisioning and device enrollmentĀ
Patch management and update strategiesĀ
Scripting & automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar)Ā
Endpoint security (EDR, DLP, disk encryption, compliance policies)Ā
Identity & access integration on endpoints (Azure AD/Entra ID, SSO, conditional access)Ā
Proven ability to design andĀ operateĀ at scale (thousands of devices, multiple OSes, multiple regions).Ā
Excellent communication skills and comfort working with security, infra, and business partners.Ā
