Role Overview:
The Solutions Enablement team aims to build effective, scalable, and cohesive HR solutions that minimize redundancy and deliver seamless data and insights for a better end-user experience. We partner with Centers of Excellence (COEs), such as Total Rewards, Global Talent, Talent Acquisition, and Corporate Citizenship, to address business needs and provide harmonized technology, tools, and data that help COEs maximize their impact at GM.Â
The Solutions Consultant is a strategic partner responsible for driving the design, build, and rollout of integrated solutions that enable business outcomes. This role proactively identifies and shapes solution opportunities and ensures seamless delivery in partnership with the IT, Analytics, and other stakeholders. Â
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR in large, global organizations and demonstrate deep empathy for COE complexity and demands. They will also be passionate about delivering user-centric, data-informed solutions that drive enterprise value.Â
Key Responsibilities:
COE Partnership & Functional ExpertiseÂ
Build strong relationships and deep understanding of assigned COEs’ priorities, processes, and pain pointsÂ
Serve as a trusted advisor to COE leadersÂ
Meet regularly with COE contacts to stay aligned on needs and prioritiesÂ
Translate business needs into clear, outcome-driven problem statements and prioritized use casesÂ
Propose solution options that balance COE needs with enterprise scale and cohesionÂ
Develop and maintain a solutions roadmap for each COE, facilitating regular reviews (e.g., MBRs, Operating Reviews) for ongoing prioritization Â
Facilitate the development of go-to-market strategies for new solutions by ensuring robust rollout and adoption plans and supporting their buildouts, in partnership with the COEsÂ
Drive integration and cohesion across HR offerings, in line with enterprise tech strategyÂ
Solution Buildout & RolloutÂ
Lead the end-to-end solution buildout and rollout process, ensuring cross-functional alignment (HR, Purchasing, IT, Finance) and timely deliveryÂ
Facilitate solutioning with Enablement teams, internal tech teams, data partners, and external vendorsÂ
Oversee development and delivery plans for new solution launchesÂ
Diagram the COE tech stack, including key integration points and data flows/storageÂ
Partner with ITÂ and relevant teams to ensure smooth handoff and executionÂ
Ensure solutions are designed for user-centricity, scalability, and integrationÂ
Sourcing, Procurement & Vendor ManagementÂ
Lead the sourcing and procurement process for HR solutions, partnering with COE, IT, and PurchasingÂ
Manage vendor relationships, including evaluation, onboarding, and ongoing performanceÂ
Ensure solution requirements are clearly documented in business requirement documents (BRDs) and statements of work (SOWs) Â
Support the development and use of evaluation matrices/scorecards for solution selectionÂ
Measurement & Continuous ImprovementÂ
Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement based on data and insights, in partnership with People Analytics Â
Support COE with defining and tracking key success metrics for solution adoption and business impactÂ
Gather feedback from COEs and end users to inform enhancementsÂ
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, information systems, or related field Â
5+ years of experience in HR, HR technology, or business process consultingÂ
Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and influence across functionsÂ
Experience leading solution design, rollout, and vendor management in a complex, matrixed environmentÂ
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skillsÂ
Excellent communication, facilitation, and change management skillsÂ
Familiarity with HR tech stacks, integration concepts, and data flows preferredÂ
