Job Description

The Loan Servicing Assistant Manager - Escrow is responsible for the oversight of all escrow functions for the bank's retail, commercial and small business portfolios.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee all escrow activities of Northwest’s Retail, Commercial and Small Business

  • Direct supervision of the retail escrow team, including taxes, insurance and flood

  • Partner with third party vendors with regards to the payment and monitoring of flood and hazard insurance and property taxes

  • Oversee the Northwest’s annual escrow analysis process

  • Resolve operational and customer related issues and complaints

  • Ensure adherence to Northwest’s loan servicing policies and procedures

  • Manage servicing staff related activities including training, developing action plans, procedures and training materials for staff, conducting staff meetings, managing work hours and FTE’s to control costs, developing and monitoring comprehensive workflows to maximize efficiencies, and developing and mentoring staff through annual performance appraisals, hiring, and career development

  • Develop optimum efficiencies including proper balancing of staffing workloads to meet pre-determined staffing metrics

  • Provide accurate information exchange with customers, offices, and lenders

  • Deliver and monitor metrics for all servicing activity

  • Meet servicing deadlines and communicate with management

  • Provide assistance with internal and external compliance reviews

  • Ensure total document and data integrity

  • Ensure the payment of all escrow items including homeowners & flood insurance and taxes

  • Oversee flood monitoring workflows and activities

  • Ensure compliance with Northwest’s policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations

  • Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency

  • Work as part of a team

  • Work with on-site equipment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance or related field preferred

  • 2 - 6 years Supervisory experience preferred

  • 5 - 6 years Lending or banking experience, preferably in an equity or mortgage loan servicing environment preferred
