Warren Screw Products is actively seeking Experienced Acme Gridley & Gildemeister Screw Machine Operators

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Operation of rotary transfer machines/screw machines (ACME GRIDLEY & Gildemeister)
• Monitoring cycle time to meet WSP standards
• Operating bench grinder and surface grinder to sharpen tools
• Maintaining cleanliness of equipment, work area, and gage stations
• Reading blue prints for product specifications
• Positioning and securing tools in tool holders per tooling layout
• Ensuring machine performs to quality control plan & quality check sheets
• Inspecting finished products to ensure specifications and quality standards
• Maintaining accurate records of machine activities and production output
• Ensuring safety protocols and procedures are followed to maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications

• Experience with screw machines in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret documents regarding safety rules, machine instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to train inexperienced operators utilizing an on the job training method
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts to support the qualifications listed above

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, oil, machinery, etc.

• Full time position with opportunity for overtime as needed.

Please Note: Previous machine operation experience on an Acme Gridley Screw Machine is required to be considered for this position. Set-up and/or Tooling & Layout experience is a plus!
