The Site Chief Engineer leads the care and maintenance of building systems and equipment at a pharmacy site. This role makes sure the facility is safe, reliable, and follows all rules and regulations. You will lead the on-site facilities team and work closely with operations, workplace services, and site leaders to keep everything running smoothly.


 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee repairs and maintenance for the building, grounds, and site equipment
  • Ensure the site meets Board of Pharmacy and other regulatory requirements
  • Lead and support a team of Facilities Management Technicians
  • Plan and complete routine (preventative) and urgent (corrective) maintenance work
  • Respond to facility emergencies and ensure quick resolution
  • Make sure work orders are completed on time using the CMMS system
  • Manage vendors and contractors, including scheduling and oversight
  • Partner with Finance on budgets, planning, and equipment upgrades
  • Support safety, environmental, and compliance standards
  • Take part in risk management and change control processes
  • Help the team prepare for audits and maintain proper documentation
  • Provide strong customer service to both internal teams and external partners

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree in a technical field, or similar work experience
  • At least 6 years of related experience

Technical Skills

  • Strong HVAC and refrigeration knowledge
  • Universal CFC certification required
  • Ability to read and understand technical plans and documents

Other Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
