Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain kennels, cages, treatment areas, and common spaces according to hospital protocolsÂ
- Feed, water, walk, and monitor hospitalized and boarding animalsÂ
- Observe pets for changes in behavior, appetite, or condition and report concerns to veterinary staffÂ
- Assist with patient comfort, including bedding changes, enrichment, and basic handlingÂ
- Launder towels, bedding, and other reusable suppliesÂ
- Restock cleaning and animal care supplies as neededÂ
- Safely handle animals of varying sizes, breeds, and temperamentsÂ
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection-control guidelinesÂ
- Provide support to veterinary technicians and doctors as neededÂ
QualificationsÂ
- High school diploma or equivalent preferredÂ
- Previous experience working with animals (professional or volunteer) preferredÂ
- Basic knowledge of animal behavior and handling is a plusÂ
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and hospital protocolsÂ
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organizationÂ
