Starting Pay:Â $17 - $19 per hour
Schedule:Â Monday - Friday
Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM; willingness and ability to work overtime, as needed, is required.
JOB SUMMARY
The Sheet Metal Fabricator is responsible for fabricating sheet metal ductwork and components used in HVAC systems. This position operates various shop machinery and equipment, including metal-cutting and laser equipment, while following technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to produce accurate and quality components. The position requires attention to detail, safe equipment operation, reliable attendance, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities outlined below represent the primary duties of this position. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with company procedures, applicable standards, and job requirements, with the level of supervision and support appropriate to the employee’s experience and level of training.
- Fabricate sheet metal ductwork and HVAC components according to specifications, technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Measure, cut, form, assemble, and finish sheet metal components to required specifications.
- Operate shop machinery and equipment, including metal-cutting and laser equipment, in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and other fabrication tools as required.
- Inspect fabricated components for accuracy, quality, and proper fit.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other fabrication and shop duties as assigned.

- Previous sheet metal fabrication, manufacturing, or machine operation experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDSÂ
The physical requirements described below are representative of the physical abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, climb, and use hands to handle sheet metal, tools, equipment, and materials. The position requires frequent use of hand and power tools and may require working around machinery, fabrication equipment, and other shop equipment.
The employee must be able to safely handle sheet metal and other materials, including materials with sharp edges, and demonstrate sufficient hand and finger dexterity to perform fabrication tasks. The employee must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 75 pounds and safely move materials throughout the work area.

The work environment described below is representative of the conditions an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of the position.
- Work is primarily performed in a sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing environment, including fabrication areas, production areas, material storage areas, and designated workstations.
- Employees may be exposed to metal dust, debris, sharp metal edges, varying indoor temperatures, and other common manufacturing materials and conditions.
- Work may occur around sheet metal machinery, laser cutting equipment, power tools, forklifts, and other shop equipment, with occasional exposure to elevated noise levels.
- Employees are expected to follow all applicable safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including appropriate protection when operating machinery and handling sheet metal.
