Starting Pay: $17 - $19 per hour

 

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

 

Willingness and ability to work overtime is required.

JOB SUMMARY


The Warehouse Selector is responsible for accurately selecting, organizing, and staging materials for scheduled deliveries. This position supports daily warehouse operations by locating materials according to pick tickets, preparing orders for delivery, assisting with loading and unloading, and maintaining an organized and safe warehouse environment. The position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety and accuracy.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The responsibilities outlined below represent the primary duties of this position. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with company procedures, applicable standards, and job requirements, with the level of supervision and support appropriate to the employee’s experience and level of training.


  • Accurately select materials and products according to pick tickets and delivery requirements.
  • Locate materials throughout the warehouse, verify order accuracy and completeness, and stage materials for scheduled deliveries.
  • Assist with the safe loading and unloading of trucks and delivery vehicles.
  • Stock, organize, and maintain materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Operate manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Safely move and handle materials of various sizes and weights throughout the warehouse.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, including designated inventory and work areas.
  • Follow established safety procedures when handling materials, equipment, sharp objects, and other potential workplace hazards.
  • May participate in forklift training and become qualified to operate a sit-down forklift based on business and operational needs.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

 

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Warehouse experience preferred. 
  • Basic reading and math skills, including the ability to read and follow pick tickets, labels, and written instructions and perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.


 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 


The physical requirements described below are representative of the physical abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, climb, and use hands to handle materials and operate warehouse equipment. The position requires frequent movement throughout the warehouse and may require working around shelving, pallets, loading areas, delivery vehicles, and other warehouse equipment.


The employee must be able to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 75 pounds and safely handle materials of various sizes and shapes. The position may require the employee to work on their feet for extended periods and safely navigate warehouse work areas while performing material-handling and order-selection activities.



WORK ENVIRONMENT 

 

The work environment described below is representative of the conditions an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of the position.

  • Work is primarily performed in a warehouse environment, including storage areas, loading and unloading areas, inventory locations, and designated staging areas.
  • Employees may be exposed to varying indoor temperatures, dust, debris, and common warehouse materials.
  • Work may occur around forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, delivery vehicles, shelving, pallets, and other warehouse equipment and materials, with occasional exposure to elevated noise levels.
  • Employees may be required to work around sharp materials, moving equipment, and other potential warehouse hazards and are expected to follow all applicable safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
