Hourly Pay Range:

$74.78 - $115.91 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Job Summary:

As the Director, Clinical Applications for Procedural Areas at Endeavor Health, you will be responsible for the ongoing operational support, optimization, and lifecycle management of solutions and platforms within your areas of responsibility, including system reliability, upgrades, issue resolution, and change management. You will also lead configuration, testing, and implementation of new solutions as priorities require. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort, support organizational growth, improve patient and user experience, and create innovative solutions in partnership with operations. You will develop and foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders to align technology solutions with the goals of the system, and promote the consistent use of available tools, techniques, workflows, and platforms.

To be successful in this role, you will be expected to remain current on relevant solutions and technologies and advocate for the adoption of industry best practices.

This role will oversee teams within Lab and Perioperative Services, supporting Epic modules and other applications.


What you will do:

  • Owns operational performance and support for the assigned applications portfolio, ensuring system stability, timely issue resolution, and effective change management.
  • Directs day-to-day application support operations, including incident management, escalations, on-call coverage, and change control processes.
  • Provides direction for solution implementation and optimization projects as needed, including planning, technical setup, building, testing, training, and deployment.
  • Establishes and monitors performance metrics (e.g., uptime, ticket resolution time, user satisfaction) to drive continuous improvement in application support.
  • Establishes relationships with domain leaders to understand strategic business needs and user requirements; translates business requirements into specifications that support ease of business operations.
  • Leads or participates in governance committees to collaborate with key stakeholders on priority and workload management.
  • Manages ongoing vendor relationships to ensure systems and solutions continue to meet or exceed the needs of Endeavor Health, including performance against support agreements.
  • Mentor direct reports through oversight of activities such as capital and operating budgets, policy and procedure development and maintenance, talent management and acquisition, sustaining relationships with operational stakeholders, governance activities, and other duties as assigned.
  • Remains current on emerging technologies and promotes adoption of relevant solutions. Participates in industry-related organizations, such as HIMSS, CHIME, Epic UGM/XGM, VMWare World, as appropriate.
  • Develops strong partnerships with fellow leaders to identify synergies and opportunities for improvement; collaborates across functional areas to ensure overlaps and touch points are seamless, effective, and achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Develops and executes a strategic roadmap for assigned areas of responsibility, identifying opportunities for technology and process improvement.
  • Executes against priorities and goals established by IT leadership, ensuring departmental plans and resource allocation align with broader organizational strategy.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional IT partners — including Security, Infrastructure, End User Computing (EUC), and PMO — to ensure application decisions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and delivery methodology.
  • Independently develops recommendations for and resolves complex human resource, technical, or communication issues.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in technology, Computer Science, or a relevant related field OR equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Five (5) or more years of experience in managing processes, applications, or systems in a healthcare setting or relevant related industries.
  • Three (3) or more years of leadership experience as defined as essential to the role.
  • Unique or Preferred Skills:
  • Prior experience supporting Procedural Clinical Application areas (Anesthesia, Labs & LIS areas including both Clinical and Anatomical Path, Epic Beaker, Epic Optime).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Strong understanding of information processing fundamentals and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects with efficiency.
  • Significant domain knowledge and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify, plan and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Strong personal and ethical accountability
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking for problem solving / issue resolution.
  • A lean towards curiosity, out of the box thinking and innovative.
  • Focus on people and active engagement in recruitment and retention.
