This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bakery area and ensuring the highest quality of products is offered to our customers. Key Responsibilities: - Provide outstanding customer service by assisting and engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner. - Follow proper food handling safety procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic environment. - Lift and move bakery products and supplies, with the ability to handle weights up to 50lbs. - Assist in the production of bakery products, including mixing, baking, and preparing items for sale. - Package bakery products efficiently and attractively for customer purchase. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of bakery equipment, counters, and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient workspace. - Decorate and arrange baked goods for display, ensuring they are visually appealing and meet company standards. - Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and customer demands. - Demonstrate attention to detail and quality control to ensure all products meet the company's quality standards. - Manage time effectively to complete tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Exhibit physical stamina by standing, lifting, and bending throughout the work shift. - Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating reliability and a willingness to learn and adapt. QualificationsRequired Education: - High school diploma or GED - Little or no formal education if the candidate demonstrates a willingness to learn, reliability, and some kitchen or customer service experience Preferred Education: - Some post-secondary coursework in culinary arts, baking, or food service (optional) Required Experience: - No prior bakery experience required - Willingness to learn baking techniques and store procedures Preferred Experience: - Experience in a bakery, deli, or food service environment - Experience handling baked goods and decorating products - Customer service experience in a retail or food setting Required Skills and Abilities: - Customer service and communication - Decorating skills - Knowledge of bakery equipment and proper use - Food safety and sanitation awareness - Attention to detail and quality control - Time management and multitasking - Physical stamina (standing, lifting, bending) - Teamwork and reliability
