Description

Flexaust, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of hose and ducting products serving a wide range of commercial and industrial markets. We are seeking a motivated Continuous Improvement Engineer to support manufacturing operations through equipment improvements, process optimization, and engineering project implementation.

Responsibilities

路 Work with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and operational efficiency.

路 Evaluate existing equipment and processes and implement improvements to increase productivity and reduce downtime.

路 Design equipment modifications and process improvements using SolidWorks.

路 Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, PLC, and process-related issues and develop practical solutions.

路 Build, assemble, install, and modify manufacturing equipment and machinery.

路 Utilize welding, machining, and fabrication skills to support equipment improvements and projects.

路 Manage improvement projects from concept through implementation.

路 Create engineering drawings, layouts, and documentation to support manufacturing operations.

路 Support equipment installations, upgrades, automation projects, and facility improvements.

路 Travel as needed to support projects, training, and supplier visits.

Qualifications

路 Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

路 3+ years of manufacturing, process, or mechanical engineering experience preferred.

路 Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.

路 Proficiency with SolidWorks and mechanical design principles.

路 Experience improving manufacturing equipment and production processes.

路 Understanding PLC programming concepts and the ability to read and troubleshoot ladder logic.

路 Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.

路 Experience with equipment assembly, machine installation, machining, welding, and fabrication.

路 Strong organizational and communication skills.
