Key Responsibilities: - Set up and operate CNC and manual machines to produce parts according to specifications. - Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining operations. - Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to ensure optimal performance. - Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments to machinery settings. - Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and resolve technical issues. - Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies. - Document production activities and maintain accurate records of machine settings and part specifications. - Train and mentor junior machinists, providing guidance and support in developing their technical skills.QualificationsRequired Education: - High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in machining or a related field is preferred. Required Experience: - Minimum of 5 years of experience as a machinist, with a focus on set-up operations. - Proven track record of working with precision medical components and understanding of industry standards. - Experience in operating and setting up CNC machines and manual machining equipment. Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. - Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in ensuring high-quality production. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. - Solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting. - Effective communication skills to liaise with engineering and production teams.
