As a School Counselor at Rivermont School, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ emotional wellness, behavioral growth, and academic success. In this role, you will partner with educators, families, and clinical teams to create a safe, supportive environment where students can thrive. Your work will directly impact students with diverse learning, emotional, and behavioral needs through compassionate care, collaboration, and evidence-based therapeutic support.

What You'll Need

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or family development

  • Active LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license or eligibility for licensure

  • Active Mandt certification

  • Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, behavioral health, and therapeutic interventions

  • Clinical experience supporting children and adolescents in educational or behavioral health settings

What You'll Do

  • Organize caregiver and family participation activities to strengthen student support and engagement

  • Provide individual and group therapy services based on student needs and treatment goals

  • Oversee PBIS planning, facilitate meetings, and provide guidance to classroom staff on behavior support strategies

  • Collaborate with families, schools, and outside agencies to improve the quality of care and student outcomes

  • Complete student assessments within thirty days of enrollment and coordinate tele-psychiatry service as needed
