We are seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and operation of our communities. This hands-on role is responsible for performing advanced maintenance and repair work, overseeing preventative maintenance efforts, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring a high standard of service for residents and staff. The Lead Maintenance Technician serves as a trusted resource to the Maintenance Director and site leadership team and may provide guidance, training, and mentorship to apprentice and entry-level maintenance technicians. This position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities. Supervisory Responsibilities Will provide on-the-job training, technical guidance, and mentorship to apprentice and entry-level maintenance technicians. Serves as a subject matter resource for maintenance best practices, safety procedures, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance programs in partnership with the Maintenance Director. You are comfortable troubleshooting complex building systems, coordinating multiple priorities, and supporting the development of less experienced team members while delivering exceptional service to residents and community stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications 3-5+ years of maintenance experience in multifamily housing, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a related industry. Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and building systems. Experience creating and managing preventative maintenance schedules. Ability to mentor and train junior maintenance staff. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, life safety systems, and facilities maintenance best practices. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or electronic work order platforms. QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities: Must have a caring and helpful spirit in line with the mission of our agency. Can independently manage assigned tasks while working alongside supervisor and team members. Able to follow direction and complete assigned tasks relative to the position. Flexibility and willingness to provide additional supportive assistance to our current residents beyond facilities preventive and routine maintenance requests. Team player willing to go above and beyond to ensure our community feels comfortable, safe, and cared for. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience assisting vendors in routine maintenance or repairs.   Must possess the skills necessary to complete routine apartment-home repairs including plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, etc. Physical Requirements:  Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time. Must be able to push and pull a minimum of 300 pounds
