Westaff is looking for a Clamp Truck Operator in the Ashaway, Rhode Island area for Immediate Start!
Location: Ashaway, Rhode Island
Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday
Pay Rate: $21-23/hour DOE
This role is responsible for loading and unloading shipments, moving palletized products with a clamp truck, and performing receiving duties to ensure accurate and efficient warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate a clamp truck to load, unload, and transport pallets throughout the warehouse.
- Hand‑unload products when necessary.
- Use handheld scanners to assign license plates and update inventory locations.
- Verify incoming shipments against invoices and resolve discrepancies.
- Stock, transfer, and organize received materials.
- Assist other warehouse departments with order processing and inventory movement.
- Perform manual pallet‑wrapping of tall or unstable pallets.
- Maintain accurate receiving records and documentation.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse or material‑handling experience preferred.
- Ability to learn and use a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Comfortable with moderate to heavy physical labor
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
